Elijah Cineas, baritone, is an emerging artist from Southern California who performs in opera, concert work, and musical theater. In the 25/26 season he made his solo debut with the San Francisco Symphony in their Deck the Hall and Music of the Heart concerts. His most recent credits include The King of Spades in Prokofiev’s The Love for Three Oranges, Paris in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, and Mitch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Mr. Cineas is an alumnus of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach and the Chrisman Studio Artist program at Opera Santa Barbara. He is currently completing his graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
In addition to his work as a performer, Mr. Cineas is an arts educator and administrator. He has organized educational programs for opera companies and served as Program Director of The Compton Conservatory of Music. He has worked as a musical director for numerous theater productions and brings years of experience as a voice teacher. His students range from young children to recording artists, as well as professional singers and actors. Mr. Cineas is also the Founder and Director of The Cineas Studio.
